Puppy Kindergarten

Taught by Kristina Ackerman, the first class in our Puppy Program is appropriate for puppies ages 2 months to 4 months and is designed to ensure your puppy receives plenty of socialization with different people and other dogs. In this class you will learn:

  • Dog handling techniques for a variety of situations such as grooming, visiting the veterinarian and giving medication
  • How to get your puppy to “settle”
  • Crate and house training techniques
  • How to resolve problematic behaviors including nipping, chewing, jumping up and door bolting
  • Basic obedience commands including Target, Come, Sit and Down
  • Clicker training is introduced
  • Proper meet and greet with humans and other dogs
  • Appropriate play versus inappropriate puppy play
  • How dogs learn and how to communicate with them

Puppy Kindergarten also includes puppy playground, giving your puppy the opportunity to play with other puppies and enhance socialization skills.

Prerequisites:
First round of Distemper and Bordetella (Proof from veterinarian required)

Cost: $150 (cash price) Held 1.5 hours weekly for 4 weeks
