Rocket Recall

You will learn in our Rocket Recall Class the value of making “Come” the happiest word in your dog’s dictionary and you will understand that a truly reliable recall can happen in the face of bunnies, deer, cats and squirrels.

Successful recalls rely on a strong, classically conditioned association with high-value reinforcers. Your dog learns that engaging with you and coming when called is so much fun that when you call, she doesn’t stop to weigh her options, she just automatically and joyfully comes flying to you.

Join in as we give you the necessary tools through positive techniques, super, awesome, fun games and creative tips to teach a reliable recall.

Duration: 6 weeks (Meeting once a week for one hour)
Maximum: 4 dogs
Age: Any.
Prerequisite: Basic obedience skills (Sit, Down, Stay)

Please bring to class your pup in a collar and/or harness with a 4 ft – 8 ft standard leash (no retractable leashes permitted). Please be sure to feed your pup at least 2 – 3 hours before class and bring a LOT of TASTY SOFT treats, such as cheese, cooked chicken, or any soft flavored chicken, liver, or beef (NO milk bones or biscuits). The same treats you use at home may not work in a high distractive class environment. Please bring along your pup’s water bowl and a bone or Kong to keep your pup busy to avoid barking if indicated for your pup.
