Do you own a "NAUGHTY DOG"?  We can save your canine from the "dog house"!  Oscar's Pet Resort of Greenfield provides you with canine education classes taught by a professional dog trainer for all ages.  These classes are specifically designed to meet your family's training and your dog's behavioral needs.  There is no "cookie cutter" fit for every dog.  In our classes you will learn what best motivates your dog.

Our canine training classes utilize positive and gentle training techniques to allow you and your dog to achieve success in puppy, basic or advanced manners.  Training will greatly enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid education are a joy to live with--they respond well to family routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy their owners who took the time to provide training and a high quality life.

Classes are held in our large gym area and are 50 to 60 minutes in length. There is a limit of six dogs in each class (unless otherwise specified), so please register early. Once a completed class enrollment form and payment are received, space in the particular class will be reserved. Owners will then receive a confirmation email or phone call from the selected class Trainer, to inform you of required vaccinations (DHLPP, Rabies and Bordatella), equipment needs, dates & times.

We offer a 10% discount to all dogs adopted from a rescue organization for their first training class if the class start date is selected within six months of adoption. Please provide copy of adoption contract to receive discount.

Please enroll your pet no later than ONE week of the class start date.  Training applications received less than one week of the class start date may need to attend the next set of training classes.

  • Treadmill Training
Do you think your dog can benefit from more exercise?

Every (NAUGHTY DOG) pet owner should have answered YES!

DID YOU KNOW exercise is the key ingredient to canine good health, good mental agility and longevity?

Why would anyone put their dog on a treadmill?
Treadmills provide numerous benefits beyond what can normally be achieved from walking or even running a dog. It is important to understand that most pet dogs were bred to perform daily tasks, alongside humans, such as pulling sleds, operating equipment, herding sheep and performing rescue operations. If a dog does not get adequate exercise this instinctive energy will build up and demand an outlet. So if your dog's chewing the couch and indulging in a little excessive barking, it may very well be that he's bored and under exercised. Regardless of inclement weather, (rain, sleet, mud, snow, heat, humidity, ice, hail) Treadmill Training allows you to adhere to a strict, controlled and consistent regimen that will guarantee results!

A walk around the block or a 15 minute romp in the backyard several times a day is minimal exercise and is NOT enough to meet the average dog's needs. Active breeds such as dogs from the sporting, herding, hound and terrier groups, or any mixture of these and  adolescents require much more exercise! Always consult your veterinarian before you begin a new exercise program for your dog.
